Foster/

Adoption Families

Fostering and adoption involve extra levels of complexity that can be overwhelming to children and families. A therapist who specializes in working with foster and adoptive families can help families grow together and heal from past traumas.

Trauma Informed Therapy

A Trauma-Informed Therapist understands and considers the pervasive nature of trauma and promotes a culture of safety, empowerment, and healing. At BTR, your therapist will collaborate with you to customize a treatment plan that best fits your needs.

Animal Assisted Therapy involves using a therapy animal as part of goal directed treatment sessions under the guidance of a trained therapist. These goals can be physical, mental, emotional and/or social.

Reproductive trauma occurs when your reproductive story does not go as hoped and planned.  This includes but is not limited to infertility, miscarriage, premature birth, postpartum depression and anxiety.

Forming a healthy parent/child bond and secure attachment is the foundation to mental wellness and begins at infancy.  BTR offers Infant Massage classes and Child Parent Psychotherapy to nurture secure attachment and strengthen families and relationships.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

In accordance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect on January 1, 2022, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
